Private Parking



There are many private parking lots
around Termini Station. The closest one
is Tuttauto, at 172 Via Urbana or the Piastra parking at Termini station with entrance from Via Marsala 53.

Parking in the Street



In Rome, you can park for free on the streets in places marked with white stripes or in places marked with blue stripes by paying €1 per hour or €4 for 8 hours (you pay from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Sundays it is free)

Trains



Book trains in advance, especially in peak season. There is often a discount for early booking. Book through the official page at trenitalia.com

Vatican Museums



The best time to visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel is in the afternoon, after 2 p.m.  when it's less crowded. Last Sunday of the month, admission to the museum is free. It is strongly recommended to buy tickets well in advance.

Colosseum



Check the official website for the
online ticketing and seasonal opening hours. You can also purchase tickets once you arrive in Rome. At the entrance to the Palatine, for example, there is usually little line. On the first Sunday of every month, admission is free!

Borghese Gallery



The Borghese Gallery is free every first Monday of the month (reservations must be made in advance at + 39 06 32 810). For all other dates you can book by phone or online at the gallery's official website. Keep in mind that it is necessary to reserve in advance.
